I don’t know about you, but I HATE dressing for warm weather. As much as I love summer, I am ready for the cooler days ahead. Unfortunately, the earlier months of fall can be tricky. On any given day, especially in New England or New York, the weather can mimic summer or winter. How soon is too soon to bring out my chunky knits? Is it too late to wear my favorite summer sundress when it is 70 degrees in October? Who said I cannot wear white pants after labor day??? Okay, I think I made my point. I love layering, sweaters, jackets, long boots, but I still have a few months till I can wear that. If you are like me, this is a difficult transition period to dress for. Have no fear, below are a few versatile warm weather fall outfit ideas that are easy to re-create for any climate.

I picked these fall outfit ideas because of their versatility. When you layer articles of clothing, you are prepared for hot or cold weather. If the weather is unpredictable, I layer with different fabric weights as well to balance each other out. Outfit #2 was a hot fall day in the city. The straighter leg made the jeans more breathable because I really did not want to wear shorts. By choosing a colorful short sleeve crop top, I still looked appropriate for the weather while simultaneously making my outfit a little more interesting.
